- England 7 – US 0… Setting a standard for Hodgson to match!
Yesterday (Wed.) in our first game of the competition we played Brazil and lost 4-2 – a real shame as we had several good chances which unfortunately weren’t converted into goals. Today in blazing sunshine in Manchester we played the USA and emerged with an emphatic 7-0 win. We were all excited to be taken this morning to the Etihad Stadium, home of victorious premier league champions Manchester City, for a photoshoot with the England first team who were training there prior to flying off to Norway. Seeing new England manager Roy Hodgson put his team through their paces must have inspired our boys I think – just hope that our victory will inspire England to an equally good result!
Tomorrow we play the Republic of Ireland so after dinner and the team meeting this evening there will be a clinic for those who need massage or physio, followed by an early night to rest up ready for tomorrow’s match. Bring it on….!!!
